Billing
The Billing page shows your account's plan and tracks usage against its limits. Every workspace you own draws from the same account quota, so spinning up extra workspaces does not multiply your free allowance.
Plans
| Plan | For |
|---|---|
| Free | Getting started and small projects, with a lifetime request cap. |
| Pay-as-you-go | Production use — usage-based pricing that scales with traffic. |
| Enterprise | Large deployments with custom limits and terms. |
Your current plan and billing email are shown at the top of the page.
How billing works
RestFlags bills on API requests. One request is a single HTTP call to any
/api/v1/flags endpoint — evaluating ten flags in one batch call still counts as
one request.
- Every account gets its first 100,000 requests free, shared across all the workspaces it owns.
- Pay-as-you-go is $5 per million requests beyond the free 100,000.
- Usage is cumulative over the lifetime of the account — it never resets.
Free-plan limits
Free accounts have a hard request cap so usage cannot run away unexpectedly:
- At 80% of the quota (80,000 requests) we email your billing contact a heads-up.
- At 125% of the quota (125,000 requests) the public API is paused for
every workspace on the account — it returns a
402error until you move to a paid plan.
Paid plans (Pay-as-you-go and Enterprise) are never paused — usage simply continues and the overage is invoiced.
Usage
The Billing page shows an API requests meter of lifetime usage, totalled across every workspace under the account. A per-workspace breakdown sits below so you can see which workspace is burning your quota. As the meter approaches the quota its colour shifts from green to orange to red. Flag evaluations and audit-log retention are shown alongside as informational figures — they are not billed. Your request usage also appears in the dashboard sidebar.
Managing your plan
Billing is handled manually. To move to a paid plan, raise your limits, or ask any billing question, email contact@restflags.com — use the Contact sales button on the Billing page. We'll set up your plan and arrange payment directly.
